Life Update #3: The End of Semester

Hey everyone! Just a quick post today. I'm currently in the thick of exam stress and panic as I have my final exams for this semester. After next Tuesday I'm free as a bird for about 4 months, which I plan on using to better myself for the new year. Straight after exams I promised myself that I would start doing some form of daily exercise and right now it's looking to be alternating days of cardio/toning and yoga. Yoga is something that I've gotten into recently after my mom did a beginner's course and convinced me to join her in classes. I got myself a brand spanking new yoga mat, pulled out my exercise outfits, and I even managed to get myself out of bed for a 9:30 am class. I tried keeping up with fitness throughout the semester but I wasn't able to establish a routine and I kept on (conveniently) catching some sort of sickness whenever I tried to do so. Hopefully the holidays will allow for enough time to figure out what I want to do and actually consistently do it.

I have also signed up for a 4 week meditation course which involves a attending a one hour class on Friday nights for four weeks and daily home practice. Anxiety is something that I struggle with on a daily basis and my mom suggested that I take this meditation course to help ease the anxiety and somewhat control it. I'm not going to lie, I've been slacking off on my home practice with having to study for my exams and the stress that comes with it. Once this course is done, I will put up a post of the key things that I've been taught and a few things that I've learned to help any of you who may need a bit of meditation in your lives.

I won't be putting up a post on Thursday night but I will be back on Tuesday and I may add another day of blogging during the holiday period. Let me know in the comments what you'd like to see more of; I'd love to hear from you. See you all soon!

Life Update #1

Taking a little break from all the beauty and baking posts this Thursday. As you may or may not know, I'm currently doing my Bachelor's in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Sydney. I graduated in 2012 and went on to do a Bachelor of Science, but decided that I was more suited to chemical engineering, so I transferred at the start of this year.
